Inside Mount Instructions - Width

  • Use a steel measuring tape and measure to the nearest 1/8.
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in 3 places (top, middle, bottom).
  • Take the smallest of the 3 measurements.
  • This is the width measurement you will order; width is always the first measurement recorded.
  • Your window depth must be 2 " to 3 ", depending on the number of panels per track (see chart below).
  • The manufacturer will deduct up to 3/8 total, from the width, to ensure proper fit.

Inside Mount Instructions - Height

  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in 3 places.
  • Take the shortest of the 3 measurements.
  • This is the height measurement you will order; height is always the second measurement recorded.
  • We recommend you subtract " for carpet clearance.
  • The manufacturer will take a " deduction to your height.

* Do not transpose width and height measurements. *

Outside Mount Instructions - Width

  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the window frame or how wide you would like the blind to be.
  • To go above and beyond the wood frame for panel tracks, add 6 to 8 to your width measurement.
  • Make sure to measure wide enough to cover the entire window and provide for minimum light gap. Adding 6 to 8 is recommended. Example: if the window opening is 70", by ordering 76", it will provide 3" coverage on each side of the window.
  • This is the width measurement you will order; width is always the first measurement recorded.
  • If you specify outside mount, the manufacturer will not take any additional deductions.

Outside Mount Instructions - Height

  • Measure the height you would like the blind to be by measuring top to bottom.
  • We recommend adding 2 " to your height to allow room for mounting brackets above your opening.
  • Please be aware your height measurement will always include the headrail. Example: if the height ordered is 80 this will be the height including the headrail (from the very top of the headrail to the bottom rail).

* Do not transpose width and height measurements. *
